Nature Immersion

The Kickapoo Valley Reserve offers nature immersion class for 8 to 12 years. These are held at various times of the year.

Participants will romp and sneak on a journey of discovery and learning. They explore areas high and low, searching for early plant growth in spring, chasing frogs in the wetlands in summer and gathering nuts like a squirrel in the fall.

These Immersion programs are a great time for a group of nature-loving kids to experience fun activities, atunement games, and adventures all focused on helping them acclimate to and enjoy the nature that surrounds us. Roaming the landscape at any time of year is something many of us have pleasant memories of; here’s a chance for children to make memories of their own.

Participants leave the visitor center in the morning and don't return until the end of the day. Appropriate attire is mandatory for the day's weather. Muddy clothes are should be anticipated. Children need to pack a lunch for eating in the field.
